At Paws-a-tively Canine!, we use the newest methods of Positive Motivation and
Reward training.   We show owners how to do ‘Hands Off - No Force’ teaching so
you have a puppy or adult dog that
WANTS to be with you and work WITH you.

We offer a class for just people,
Owner HeadStart, to help those looking to get a
puppy/dog or for current puppy/dog owners learn more about dogs and to answer
all those questions that most classes never get to - how to find a puppy,
housetraining, grooming, safety and 1st-Aid, calming/stress signals, what is
normal dog behavior, etc.

Marker Training or as it's better know "Clicker Training" is used in all classes.
This type of training allows your puppy or adult dog to start thinking how to
offer
behaviors
rather than waiting for you to solve things for them or force them into
doing the behaviors.

We offer some special price packages for classes and we will gladly consider
orther payment options per individual.
We specialize in working with young puppies starting at 7 weeks of age.

We offer
Puppy Socialization Outings to different  places to expose
young puppies safely to new sights, sounds and lots of socialization to
new people.  We also offer a special
PuppyTime, where young puppies,
7 wks-20 wks, get to play off leash with other puppies.  Our
Puppy
Foundation I
class, (for PuppyTime Graduates or puppies 3-8 months),
shows you how to continue to develop that special person-doggie bond
as well as working on the basic behaviors every puppy should have.
After the Puppy I class continue working with your puppy to improve their
good behaviors in the
Puppy II - Advancement class - the AKC “STAR
Puppy
program is offered in this class.

For those with adolescent puppies or adult dogs, (9 months and older),
who missed out on the PuppyTime or Puppy I and II classes there are
Doggie Basic classes to help your dog learn their good manners.

For adult dogs over 1½ years of age we offer
private lessons or an
Adult Dog 4 On 4” class, where only 4 adult dogs with their owners
working through the same lessons as offered in the Basic I classes.  With
just four dogs and their owners per class, each dog and owner receives
more individual attention to help adult dogs handle a class setting and to
help with certain behavioral issues.

If you wish to go farther with your dog we encourage doing the
CGC
Prep
course and test for the AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.  We
also offer a
Basics Refresher Class, a couple times a year, for our
past graduates where they can come to do some advanced work or just
brush up on their basic behaviors.

Additional advanced classes are also offered at different times
throughout the year.  Classes such as
Treibball, Fun Nose Work,
Freestyle - ‘Dancing With Your Dog’, Rally Obedience for fun or
competition and
Conformation Showing just to name a few.

A
Therapy Dog Prep class on training your dog to become an AAA/AAT
Therapy Dog is also available and we encourage and promote
Intermountain Therapy Animals and the R.E.A.D. Program with dogs.
